HIGH RESOLUTION, SPECIFICITY & SENSITIVITY
- High repeatability ensures that calculated metabolic parameters derived from the gas analysis, like the respiratory quotient (RQ), are accurate and precise
- Analyzes all compounds in the sample with very high precision
- Flexible to easily measure trace volatiles such as formaldehyde, acetic acid, ammonia, and hydrocarbons for the purpose of diagnostic evaluation
- For high altitude conditions, the system automatically adjusts and delivers uniform, high precision data regardless of sample pressure
- Configurations built for sampling from high pressure (hyperbaric) conditions, or sub-atmospheric pressures, such as those found at high altitudes
- Fast acquisition software and inlet configuration designed specifically to produce the full breath-to-breath quantitative profile
- Complete sample composition allows the researcher to calculate metabolic parameters, like the RQ, without the need for integrating additional flow measurements
FEATURES
- Quantitative Analysis of O2, CO2, N2, HvO, and trace volatiles
- Measurement Rates up to 5 milliseconds per compound
- Minimum Sample Flow < 0.04 atm cc/sec
- Sample Transit as fast as 0.1 seconds
SYSTEM SPECS
- Mass range: From 1-250 amu (optional 1-300 or 1-500 amu) with the capability to monitor gases and vapors with fragment masses that fall within that range
- Standard Dual Faraday/Electron Multiplier Detector Range from 5 ppb to 100%
- Detection Range with Membrane Inlet Option: 10 ppt to 100%*
- Fast Analysis Mode: Responds to changes in the sample stream in <0.1 seconds
- Quantitative Analysis performed at up to 5 milliseconds per component
- Dual filament ionizer: One filament is utilized for operation while the second filament acts as a spare
- The system provides automatic filament switchover for continuous operation
- High Compression Turbo Molecular Pump with Molecular Drag
- A “Fail safe” interlock protects the system against a power failure or sudden vacuum loss The vacuum chamber is also equipped with a vacuum gauge and an auto vent assembly
