Since 1964, Extrel’s expertise in building specialized components and customized systems has allowed us to meet endless application needs. Extrel’s team of engineers work closely with our customers to provide them with custom-built equipment that includes everything from custom length ion optics to specialized multi-technique MS/MS Systems. The Custom Components and Systems built, installed and supported by Extrel include:

Ionizers and Ion Optics:

Extrel can build specialized ionizers with custom ports, filament materials, shielding and inlets. Ion Optics can be manufactured to meet designs of varying lengths, enhance pumping while maintaining high ion transmission or work with high energy ion sources. Right angle and multi-port optics are also available.

Ion Guides and Collision Cells:

Extrel builds special length and special configuration Ion Guides to fit existing systems or specialized application requirements.

Mass Filters and MS/MS Devices:

Quadrupole Mass Filters can be constructed with special housings, apertures, custom optics and specialized connections. They can also be built from special materials.

MS/MS Systems:

MS/MS systems can be manufactured with any combination of custom components, as well as with Extrel’s standard Mass Filters, Ion Guides, Ion Optics and Collision Cells.

Vacuum Chambers:

Extrel designs specialized chambers to meet specific application needs.

Gas Handling and Valving:

For decades, we have built specialized gas manifolds, gas mixing systems, custom sampling ports and valving.
